Troubleshooting Lottie AI
Fixes for common issues with generations, exports, and lost work.
Generation issues
The animation I generated isn’t good. What should I do?
Try switching from Turbo to Quality mode, which usually gives better results for complex prompts. In Quality mode, you can also turn on Detailed for richer detail on key objects. It also helps to make your prompt more specific about the motion, style, and timing you want.
Why is my animation taking a long time to generate?
Quality mode and options like Detailed take longer because they run a more detailed, multi-stage process. See Lottie AI generation modes and quality options for estimated times.
You don’t need to wait on the page. Click More (…) at the bottom of the left sidebar and turn on Completion alerts to get notified when generation finishes.
An error occurred, but my credits were deducted. What happens?
If an error occurs during generation and credits were deducted, they’re returned to your account automatically.
Exporting
My export options are all greyed out. Why?
You need to generate an animation first. Export options only become available once there’s a generated result in the preview.
Recovering your work
My previous animation disappeared. Can I get it back?
Yes. Click the History icon at the top of the animation to view and restore earlier generations. When you return to Lottie AI, you can also use the Restore last session prompt to continue where you left off.
I closed the tab or lost my session. Can I get my work back?
Click More (…) at the bottom of the left sidebar and select Restore last session. This option only appears if there’s a previous session to restore.
