Testing Animations Across Multiple Players
The Multi-player Test feature allows you to preview your Lottie animation across different rendering libraries simultaneously, helping you identify visual inconsistencies before deployment.
How to Use Multi-player Test
- Open your animation in the workspace
- Click the Multi-player test button (monitor icon) in the top toolbar
- The screen will split into multiple preview panels
Selecting Players and Versions
Each panel has two dropdown menus:
- Player dropdown - Choose which rendering library to test (e.g., dotlottie-web, lottie-web, skottie, rlottie)
- Version dropdown - Select the specific version of that library (latest or previous versions)
You can configure each panel independently to compare different player and version combinations side-by-side.
Why This Matters
Different Lottie players may render animations differently due to varying levels of feature support. Testing across multiple players helps you:
- Spot visual discrepancies between platforms before going live
- Verify that your animation works correctly on all target environments
- Identify which player versions support specific animation features
- Make informed decisions about which players to use in production
Tip: Test with the actual player versions used in your production environment to ensure accurate results.
