Roles and Permissions

Every member of a LottieFiles workspace has a role, and that role decides what they can see and do. Use this page as a reference when inviting people, changing roles, or sharing projects.

Note: Developer and Viewer roles are only available on Team+ and Enterprise plans. Other paid plans include Owner, Admin, and Editor roles.

Private projects

Private projects are only visible to members who have been invited to them. This applies to every role, including Owners and Admins. If you need access to a private project, ask someone who’s already in it to invite you.

Sharing outside your workspace

To give someone access to specific animations without adding them to your workspace, share the individual animation or project with them instead. That way they only see what you share and you can control the permission to comment or download.
