How your content is used

Does LottieFiles use my prompts or imported files to train its AI models?

  • Imported images and files: never. We don’t use your imported SVGs or images to improve Lottie AI.
  • Prompts, animations, and feedback: yes, unless you opt out. We may use them to improve Lottie AI, including as examples that help generate animations for other users, and to train and evaluate our own models. This only covers content you create in Lottie AI after accepting the AI Terms, not your other LottieFiles content.
  • Our AI providers don’t train on your content. Anthropic and Google aren’t allowed to train their models on it.

Because prompts and animations can be used as examples, parts of them could appear in another user’s result. Don’t include confidential information or client secrets in your prompts, and opt out if you need to.

How do I opt out?
Email privacy@lottiefiles.com from the email address on your LottieFiles account. From then on, we stop using your content, remove it from the examples Lottie AI uses, and leave it out of future training. Models that were already trained aren’t retrained.

Is my content private, or can others see it?
Your imported artwork and generated content stay private unless you share them. If you create a Share link, anyone with the link can view and copy the animation.

Third-party AI providers

Does Lottie AI use third-party AI providers?
Yes. Lottie AI runs on AI models from Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini).

To generate your animation, we send them your prompts, relevant parts of the conversation, and images of artwork or imported files when a task needs them. They process this only to produce results for us, aren’t allowed to train their models on it, and keep it only for a limited time to detect abuse.

We also use infrastructure and tooling providers for hosting, security, and quality monitoring. We update the list before a new AI provider receives your content. 

Security and storage

Is my data encrypted, and where is it stored?

  • Encryption: Your data is encrypted in transit. Files stored by Lottie AI are encrypted at rest with AES-256 on Amazon Web Services.
  • Location: Lottie AI is hosted on Amazon Web Services, and your data is processed in the United States, including by our AI providers.
  • Payments: Card details go straight to our payment processors. We don’t store them.
  • No selling: We don’t sell your personal data or your Lottie AI content.
  • Deletion: Your animations stay in your account until you delete them or ask us to.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
Nothing is deleted. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then stops renewing. Your animations stay in My animations, and you can still export them.
