Lottie AI animation settings
Set the duration, colors, and canvas size of your animation.
Click the settings icon (slider icon) at the bottom left of the prompt box to configure these options. You can change them before or after you generate an animation.
| Setting | What it does |

| Duration | Set a specific length, or leave it on Auto to let Lottie AI decide based on your prompt. You can also choose Custom duration or pick a preset, such as Micro interaction, Icon loader, Short loop, Explainer beat, or Full scene. |
| Color palette | Limit the animation to a specific set of colors instead of the AI’s default choices. Choose a preset palette, such as Sunset, Festival, or Grayscale, or create a custom palette to match your brand colors. |
| Size | Set the canvas dimensions. The default is 500 × 500 px. Choose a preset for common uses, such as a small icon, UI loader, app icon, Instagram post, TikTok or Reel, YouTube or X, banner ad, or website hero. You can also select Custom size and enter your own dimensions, from 64 to 4096 px. |
| Add file | Use your own SVG as the starting point for the animation. Describe the motion, then click Generate to animate it. See Add your own file to Lottie AI. |
💡 Tip: You can also resize the canvas after generating by dragging its edges in the preview.
