Crediting Original Animations
If you've edited or modified someone else's animation, you must credit the original creator when uploading your version to LottieFiles.
How to Give Credit
When uploading your edited animation:
- In the description field, clearly state that your animation is based on or modified from the original
- Include a link to the original animation
- Credit the original creator by name
Example Attribution
"Based on [Animation Name] by [Creator Name]: [link to original]"
Important Guidelines
- You must have permission to edit and redistribute the animation (check the original's license)
- Failing to credit the original creator is considered plagiarism
- Animations that don't properly attribute their sources can be reported and removed
- Do not claim or imply that a modified animation is entirely your own work
License Requirements
Always verify that the original animation's license allows derivatives or modifications before uploading your edited version.
