Create a private project

Creating a Private Project

You can create a private project that is accessible only to you and the users you invite.

  1. Click the + button on the left sidebar
  2. Enter your project name
  3. Check the Make it private box
  4. Click Create

A padlock icon will appear on the project folder, indicating it is private.

Sharing a Private Project

  1. Click the Share icon in the top-right corner
  2. Enter their email address
  3. Choose their access level (e.g., Guest for view-only)
  4. Click Invite

💡 Project Sharing vs. Workspace Invitation:

  • Sharing a project: Gives access to that specific project only—no workspace access, no charges. You can set permission levels like Guest (view-only), Allow downloads.
  • Inviting to workspace: Gives access to collaborate across all workspace projects. Charges apply for paid workspaces (free for Starter workspaces).
