How to Upload Animations to LottieFiles

Digital Asset Management (DAM) in LottieFiles provides a centralized workspace where you can store and organize all your animations and creative assets.

What You Can Upload

LottieFiles supports the following animation formats:

  • Lottie animations: .json files
  • dotLottie animations: .lottie files

You can also store images (PNG, GIF, SVG, JPEG, WebP) and source files (AEP, AI, PSD) in your workspace.

Ways to Upload Animations

Upload from the Web App

  1. Log in to your LottieFiles workspace
  2. Click the Upload button
  3. Select your animation file from your computer
  4. Your animation will be stored in your workspace

Upload from Plugins

You can upload animations directly from your design applications:

Figma Plugin

  • Open the LottieFiles plugin in Figma
  • Click Upload and Select your animation directly to your workspace

After Effects Plugin

  • Open the LottieFiles plugin in After Effects
  • Click Upload and Select your animation directly to your workspace

Storage Limits

Your available storage depends on your plan:

Plan Storage File Limit
Starter (Free) 20 MB 5 files
Individual 2 GB Unlimited
Team 5 GB Unlimited
Enterprise 20 GB Unlimited

Note: Free plan users are limited by whichever threshold is reached first—20 MB of storage OR 5 files.

Need More Storage?

If you're on a paid plan (Individual, Team, or Enterprise), you can purchase additional storage:

  • 100 GB — $49/month
  • 250 GB — $99/month

Additional storage is only available for paid plans. Free plan users must upgrade to a paid plan first.
