Discovering, Downloading, and Uploading Animations

LottieFiles offers a vast library of free and premium animations ready to use in your projects, and makes it easy to share your own creations.

How to find animations

  1. Visit lottiefiles.com and use the search bar
  2. Enter any keywords to search for any animations
  3. Preview animations before downloading

How to download

  1. Click on any animation you like
  2. Click the Download button
  3. Before you download, choose where you’d like to save the animation.
  4. Once it’s saved to your workspace, you can download it. 

Free vs Premium animations

  • Free animations: Available to everyone, attribution isn’t required, but we strongly recommend crediting the creator

  • Premium animations: Require a paid subscription, no attribution needed

Check the license on each animation page before using it in your project.

How to upload your animations

Share your own Lottie animations with the community or store them privately in your workspace.

Upload file to workspace:

  1. Go to your dashboard.
    1. To upload Lottie animations:
      Select your Lottie JSON or .lottie file from your computer (max 20MB)
    2. To convert SVG to Lottie :
      Select SVG to Lottie > you can upload SVG file up to max 20MB
    3. To convert video to Lottie
      Select video and image to Lottie > you can upload GIF, PNG, MP4, WebM, Mov up to 10MB Click the New >  Upload animation button in the top right


Upload file to community:

File requirements

  • Lottie animations: max 20MB
  • SVG: max 20 MB
  • Videos / Images (GIF, PNG, MP4, WebM, Mov): max 10MB
