Preparing Your Composition
Before exporting, ensure your composition is optimized:
- Set your composition to the final output size
- Keep frame rate at 30fps or 60fps for smooth playback
- Use solid colors and simple shapes when possible
- Organize layers with clear naming conventions
Step-by-Step Export Process
- Open the LottieFiles Panel
- Go to Window > Extensions > LottieFiles
- The panel will dock on the right side of your workspace
- Select Your Composition
- In the LottieFiles panel, your active composition will be detected automatically
- If you have multiple compositions, select the one you want to export
- Preview Your Animation
- Click the "Preview" button
- Watch how your animation will render as a Lottie
- Check for any compatibility warnings (yellow/red indicators)
- Configure Export Settings
- Choose your export quality (Good, Better, Best)
- Enable/disable "Glyphs" for text handling
- Select compression level
- Export
- Click "Export Lottie"
- Choose a save location
- Wait for the export to complete
- Your Lottie JSON file is ready!

- Avoid complex effects that may not be supported
- Test your exported Lottie in the LottieFiles preview player
