Note: This applies to work you create, edit, or customize using LottieFiles services. Animations from the LottieFiles library have their own licenses, which apply on every plan:

  • Free public animations are covered by the Lottie Simple License and can be used commercially.
  • Premium animations come with their own premium license, which allows commercial use.

What counts as commercial use?

Commercial use means using LottieFiles services to create, edit, or customize animations for financial gain or business advantage. Examples include:

  • Advertising and marketing: Ads, campaigns, or promotional materials for a product, service, or brand
  • Product sales: Digital or physical products that are sold or distributed
  • Monetized content: YouTube, social media, blogs, or other content that earns revenue
  • Corporate communications: Business presentations, training materials, or company websites
  • Broadcast and streaming: TV, streaming platforms, or paid media
  • Client work: Animations made for paying clients

What happens if I use a plan that doesn’t allow commercial use?

Using LottieFiles services commercially on a Starter or Individual plan breaks our terms and may lead to:

  • Termination of your subscription
  • Legal action
